ATT Audio Controls and Merging Technologies are proud to announce Ramses MSC

Ramses MSC a multi-format fully integrated console system that rewrites the rule book for efficiency and affordability.

Ramses is the core system control surface, Ramses MSC is the fully integrated record, editing, processing and fully automated mixing system that has all the functionality of a large format digital console and fully configurable for post-production and multi-track recording applications.

Incorporating Merging's new real-time MassCore mix engine technology Ramses MSC is scalable from 16 to 256 input and output channels and tracks.

Pyramix users can upgrade their existing system to Ramses MSC incorporating their existing Merging hardware.

Enter the exciting new world of a very powerful and fully integrated multi-track audio record/editing/mixing environment complete with the option of video referencing and compatibility with all Standard and High-Definition Audio and Video formats.

Merging Technologies' Pyramix system is already acknowledged as the audio industries most powerful real-time DAW and has a very large user base around the world in Film and TV post production as well as in multi-track live recording, editing and mastering.

Ramses MSC integrates Merging’s Pyramix digital audio workstation technology with up to 256 track real-time record/editing capabilities and compatible with almost any audio format including PMF, BWF, Wave, MXF, AIFF, SDII, OMF, Akai, DSD, AC3 even in the same timeline.

User configurable Peak, VU, PPM and Loudness metering with console and automation status overviews is standard in the system with full support for all VST compatible plug-ins.

Integrated into Ramses MSC or as a standalone system. Pyramix can be incorporated into any existing work-flow structure and communicate from and to the outside world through AAF, OMF and Final Cut Pro XML. See Merging’s Pyramix data sheet at www.merging.com for full details.

The Ramses Edit Bay option offers a very comprehensive and tactile editing environment for the integrated Pyramix system. It is available either as a separate module that can be installed in bespoke furniture simply connected to the main control surface via Ethernet, or as integral part of the Ramses MSC freestanding chassis.

The Edit Bay has a set of additional machine control functions and time code entry keys with dedicated Pyramix media manager controls and a very advanced jog-wheel editing capability. The Edit panel has a combination of pre-configured dedicated and multi-action key functions as well as a comprehensive series of soft labelled user-defined keys.

Ramses’ standard chassis for the 8, 16 or 24 fader models is designed for customers who want to build the system into their own custom furniture.

A freestanding chassis frame is also available for all configurations with the option of a straight or winged Edit Bay module that can be mounted on either side of the central chassis stand. We can also accommodate a 48 fader dual operator chassis configuration utilizing at least two integrated Pyramix systems.

Merging has a special arrangement with Smart AV for a modified version of their ARC Technology™ that can be supplied as a retro-fit option for Ramses.

ARC Technology™ offers an alternative and very efficient way of working and unifies the functions of interrogation and channel selection into a spatially fixed array with instant access to any channel or combination of channels. The ARC option is ideal if you have restricted space yet need to control very large track counts.

MassCore Mix Engine Technology

Ramses MSC incorporates Merging’s new MassCore mix engine technology within Merging’s integrated Pyramix system.

MassCore is a truly deterministic real-time engine that does NOT rely on the Windows or Macintosh operating systems. This then totally avoids the inherent latencies and processing restrictions caused by using these platforms and allows us to take the channel/track count of Ramses to a new level.

MassCore is scalable from 16 to 256 input and output channels with a massive 256 channel bus structure. This enables us to configured Ramses as a true console with pre-configured, or user configurable inputs, output, mix and monitor buses, comms as well as multi-track tape returns.

Ovation is a multiple application playout system, principally targeting Live Events like Theatre Shows, Radio & TV Games, Radio On-Air Playout, Theme Parks, Museums, etc…
